Braided bracelet (or necklace) with loop closure.
Take three strands of cord (20" each for a bracelet) and make a moose knot using all three strands to connect button. I only wrap once so the knot isn't so big.
String on your beads and follow braiding instructions. To make the loop you need to continue braiding until you have a segment that will fit around your button, plus a little extra.
Fold segment and make sure you clip where there is enough "loop" for button to fit in. There is no magic way of calculating. :(
Similar to the macrame slide knot, except REALLY TIGHT with waxed cord you macrame a segment that will hold/tighten the folded braid.
With a thread zap, melt the ends. Make sure not to cut the ends too short because you need to melt this little segment into a ball and tap it down.
Trim off the excess strands from braiding. I don't like melting them because then you have too many melted spots. If you trim in close you get a nice clean-looking finish.

This technique is similar to the macrame loop that I show in several of my photos in that I continue to macrame until I have a segment of cord that I can bend into a loop and secure with waxed cord. I rarely if ever make macrame closures because they are time consuming! It takes longer to make the loop than the rest of the bracelet!
