I like to use these beads for styles where I evenly space/knot and the gemstone holes do not match in size. For example, the necklace below has three different kinds of gemstone beads. The garnet has very small holes, holes that would only fit onto Griffin size 2 cord. Both the labradorite and the carnelian have holes that would only fit size three Griffin size 3 cord when knotted. By adding these tiny beads to the sides of all beads allowed me to incorporate all beads into this design.
